Welcome to our homepage!
The guest houses of "STORK COTTAGES" are located half-way between Tiszafüred and Hortobágy (the famous Hungarian "Puszta"), at the gate of the Hortobágy National Park. Kócsujfalu is a tiny countryside village with an approximately 160 inhabitants, where people live in the embracement of nature. The rich flora and fauna of the great plain, thousands of birds, stork families and the natives live together in peace and harmony. Thanks to the closeness of the bird-repatriate of the Górés-farm, three storks stayed guests of the village in the winter of 2004.

The Stove House beautifully fits in this natural environment. The guest houses are standing in a huge green garden, and throughout the whole year prepared to accomodate the lovers of bird-watching, groups of friends, families with children and those who enjoy the peace of rural tourism. Both guest houses - which in 2005 were given the best rate (4-sunflower) by the Association Rural Toursim, - are a great basis for all aims: hiking, biking, bird-watching or fishing. Our guests are welcome to bring along their pets!

The Stork Cottages is located in a distance of only 16 kilometres from Tiszafüred, therefore the free swimming shore of the Tisza Lake and the thermal bath which is open throughout the whole year, are easily accessable. At the same time, the guest houses are far enough from the noise and the hustle and bustle of cities.
In similar distance on main road 33 in the direction of Debrecen, accross the "Nine-Hole Bridge" which is part of the World Heritage, lays the Great Plain (Puszta) of the Hortobágy. In a 50 kilometres range, the Europe-famous thermal bath and slide-park of Hajdúszoboszló and the famous sights of Debrecen can be reached within an hour. Also a one-hour car journey can take us to a lovely Baroque town, the town of baths and wine called Eger.
